Standing Together: A Culmination of Seven years of Seeing and Being Seen.

Standing Together is a personal work engaging race and ancestry through the somatic investigations of Body-Mind Centering®. Part dance, part theater, part oral history Standing Together brings together Jorge, a Black Brazilian Dance Specialist, Damaris, a descendant of the American slave trade & Scandinavian immigrants, and Wendy, a woman who traces her lineage to early colonial plantation owners. They show up in relationship to one another and hold space for the hard conversations through their personal interactions and love.

Performer/Creators Damaris Webb, Jorge Samuel, Wendy Hambidge

Performances will take place on September 26 and 27th at 7:00 pm, and on Sunday September 28th at 2 pm. Sunday after the matinee there will be an extended conversation and reception. If you come Friday or Saturday you are welcome to come to the reception on Sunday.

The performance, rehearsal, photography, videography and other services are supported in part by the Regional Arts and Culture Council, the Ronni S.
